Industry trends and challenges
The keynotes and discussions held at the seven fairs of the event focused on the real application and profitability of AI technologies in the business environment. The main debate at the Cloud & AI Infrastructure fair focused on how large corporations (such as Renfe, Moeve or Moventia) are driving new management models. The three company representatives considered the new Sustainable Mobility Law necessary to move towards an intelligent transformation of mobility, so that the citizen has the ability to choose which means of transport to use and how to reach a destination in a "door-to-door" way in the most sustainable way. These companies are using AI combined with Cloud to optimize processes, improve operational efficiency and move towards a more connected and people-centric mobility. In addition, they also emphasized that to achieve this, public-private collaboration is indispensable.
Cybersecurity leaders at Cybersecurity World, sponsored by Var Group, stressed that incident response is no longer sufficient and highlighted the impact of cybersecurity regulation. Regarding the legal framework for cybersecurity in the space sector, the European Space Agency highlighted that PNT (Positioning, Navigation and Timing) programs currently constitute the area with the greatest economic impact within the space sector, and have links to a multitude of key sectors of the economy.
On the other hand, Data Center World focused on the challenge of energy efficiency. Reduction and reuse solutions were the protagonists in the face of the exponential growth in the demand for Data Centers by AI. The trade shows dedicated to eCommerce and marketing confirmed the redefinition of retail: it has been demonstrated how leading brands (such as Puma or Zalando) are using performance SEO and Generative AI to increase conversion, reduce returns and convert network hype into sustainable sales. On the other hand, the presence of HR leaders like the one from PortAventura World who has highlighted that organizational transformation and talent management are as critical as technology itself for a successful customer experience.
Tech Show Madrid has not only directly boosted the local economy through business tourism, hospitality and professional services, but has also generated a tractor effect in the business and innovation ecosystem of the Community of Madrid. Moreover, the fact that 15% of visitors came from abroad reinforces the international projection of the congress, positioning Madrid as a European benchmark in digitization and entrepreneurship, and consolidating its reputation as an open, innovative and attractive city for technological investment.
