Data Centres in the Age of AI: Agility and Modularity for the Future
Artificial intelligence is driving and accelerating the growth of data centres, with design and construction challenges that require new approaches, strategies and architectures. Data centres for AI must be reliable, agile and sustainable. Similarly, the rapid proliferation of different generations of GPUs and how they impact data centre design in terms of capacity, cooling and power density add uncertainty to the life cycle of the technologies we use in their construction. Modular, prefabricated and decoupled data hall architecture concepts allow us to overcome the challenges posed by AI, while providing the agility and flexibility that businesses need to adapt to different technology cycles and customer demands.
