As AI workloads push rack densities beyond the limits of traditional air cooling, data centers need a smarter upgrade path that doesn’t require the cost of a full facility rebuild. This session explores two-phase direct-to-chip (D2C) cooling as a modular, retrofit-ready alternative, backed by empirical test data from a collaboration between Techbuyer and In-Quattro. We cover thermal performance under real AI workloads, a head-to-head comparison with immersion and water-based approaches, and the sustainability case, including PUE gains, asset life extension, and circular economy benefits.
