Jaime Rodríguez de Santiago
General Manager,
Airbnb Marketing Services, SL
Jaime Rodríguez de Santiago (Madrid, 1984) has been General Manager of Airbnb Marketing Services, SL since November 2024. Since joining the company, he has been working to consolidate Airbnb as the preferred option for both Spanish families who wish to travel and for those who decide to open the doors of their homes and become hosts. A Telecommunications Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, Jaime is passionate about technology and its transformative impact on society. Before joining Airbnb, he held the position of CEO of BlaBlaCar for Spain, Portugal and Germany, leading the expansion of the car sharing platform in some of the most strategic markets on the continent. Subsequently, he took over the management of Free Now in Southern and Western Europe, from where he drove its evolution into a multimodal urban mobility platform.
In addition to his solid career in the technology sector, Jaime is the creator and host of Kaizen, a popular podcast on continuous learning, recognized among the 100 most listened to in Spain. He also co-hosts "Nada que ganar" with Cristina Carrascosa and Javier G. Recuenco. He currently directs the Leadership and Management Program at the Tramontana Institute and collaborates as a guest lecturer at business schools such as ISDI. In 2023 he published his first book, "La realidad no existe" (Aguilar), an essay on the role of critical thinking in a world full of false certainties.
A recent father of a daughter, Jaime says that what has really driven him has always been curiosity: to try, fail and learn. His life began following his parents -hippies and artists- around 'half of Spain', with whom he lived in a dozen different houses before he was six years old. He grew up among adults, music, books and paintings, in an environment as creative as it was free. Today, Jaime maintains a deep bond with a village in the middle of the Serranía de Cuenca, where he has a house to which he returns whenever he can in search of disconnection and contact with nature.
