Begoña Villacís
Executive Director,
SpainDC
Begoña Villacís is a lawyer and executive whose career spans the business world, public administration, and strategic planning. She holds a law degree from CEU San Pablo University and a master’s degree in Tax Consulting and Tax Law from Comillas Pontifical University, and spent more than a decade building her career in the legal and business sectors.
Between 2015 and 2023, she held various positions at the Madrid City Council, where, as you all will recall, she served as deputy mayor from 2019 to 2023. In that role, she played a key role in leading the transformation of the capital and managing major urban, economic, and institutional challenges.
She is currently the executive director of SpainDC, the Spanish Association of Data Centers, where she leads and drives the efforts of a sector that is key to Spain’s digitalization, investment attraction, and competitiveness.
