Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Alan Abela is a Regional Manager of Colocation Engineering for EMEA at AWS, responsible for leading the expansion, design, and life cycle engineering for all AWS Colo data centers in Italy and Switzerland, as well as providing support to other regions in EMEA. Prior to this, Alan held senior engineering positions in building services consultancy, contracting, and research. Alan is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of CIBSE. Alan specialized in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration and obtained his doctorate (PhD) in the Energy Performance of Buildings in 2014.
